If We should to give a brief information about Antalya City Center, we can start with the origin of the name '' Antalya '' first. In the Hellenistic period, King of Pergamum II. Attalos (159-138 BC), "Go and find me heaven on earth." He commanded his soldiers. II. Attalos liked the place his soldiers found after long efforts (today's Antalya) and he ordered to establish a port city here, taking into account the strategic importance of the region. The city is called "Ataleia" after this date based on the name of its founder Attalos. Later, this name changed to "Antalya" over time and has survived to the present day.
Antalya is the fifth most populous city in Turkey and It is located on the Mediterranean coast in southern Turkey. Tourism has the biggest share in the economy of Antalya. This is followed by agriculture in second place. It has a strong place in the country's agriculture. The region where Antalya is located has hosted many civilizations from prehistoric times to the present day. With this feature, Antalya is one of the most historical city ,located between Europe and Asia, with its 17 different ancient sites within its border. Its history, which dates back nearly 500 thousand years, is based on the Ancient Stone Age. Bone remains related to caveman (homo sapiens, neandertal) were found in "Karain". These are the earliest fossil remains found in Anatolia. Not only in tourism, Antalya has an important place in Turkey as agricultural potential and ecological diversity. Antalya meets the agricultural needs of public in Turkey and it has been also exporting abroad many products such as bananas, tomatoes, oranges.

An accessible pier at the beach was established for wheelchair user to be able to swim alone. By fixing a special lift for disabled into this pier, wheelchair users are provided with easy access to the sea.
